Description Tobias Mueller 2014-02-04 16:56:47 UTC
On my tablet hardware, it seems that GNOME does not offer me an option to enter characters unless I explicitly make it happen myself, i.e. activate the onscreen keyboard through the Universal Access menu.
I expected GNOME to just work^tm. More precisely: To enable the soft keyboard if I don't have any keyboard.

That issue is especially annoying when trying to connect to a password protected wifi network.

What's the output of:
gdbus introspect --session --dest org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.Cursor --object-path /org/gnome/SettingsDaemon/Cursor

after using the touchscreen on that system?
