screen shot of font error

When generating a report, the font used for numbers is wrong. It appears to calculate correctly because when I export the report, it appears correctly in the exported file. I've tried several report templates. I have changed the stylesheet. I have tried changing fonts under edit-stylesheets-edit.

Same issue here.

However, to be more specific, some styles (Normal, Bold, ...) of some fonts seem to be the source of the problem.
Choosing a font style other than "Normal" of the same default font "Sans", displays the numbers properly as well as the currencies (see below).

Same issue occurs only for symbols of some currencies, even in other fonts.
For example: Choosing "Calibri (Normal)" or "Arial (Oblique)" will display the numbers, but not some currencies, such as Lebanese Pounds (LBP) and Tenge (KZT). Other styles of Calibri and Arial will display numbers and currencies properly.

Thank you for your report. What is not clear from your description is whether you could fix the issue by changing fonts under Edit-Stylesheets-Edit?

I'm not sure if the currency symbols you mention are defined per se in the fonts you have selected. And unless we can establish a universally available font that has all of them this will be pretty hard to fix from within gnucash.

This bug is very likely related to bug 722455. It has similar symptoms except that there the headings are improperly rendered and the accounts/amounts are ok.

I'm keeping this bug open as a reminder that we need to revisit the default fonts in Windows, and perhaps figure out why this worked fine until a couple of months ago.
