GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 709572
System status shows low battery even though laptop is plugged in
Last modified: 2013-10-14 06:53:58 UTC
Running Fedora 20 (GNOME 3.10), this my system tray reports that my battery is low, even though the label next to it reports that the battery is fully charged. (see attached screenshot)
Created attachment 256629 [details] Screenshot showing the issue
It seems that the system tray is reporting the low battery because my wireless mouse battery is low.
I have also filed https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=709586, as my mouse battery also seems to be getting erroneously reported. (although IMHO don't think this has anything to do with this issue.)
This is the mouse battery getting in the shell's status bar. We should only show laptop batteries there, we already have a notification for mouse on low battery.
Created attachment 256663 [details] [review] power: Never show a mouse as the status icon Because we end up showing the critical mouse as the status icon.
