Description Tomeu Vizoso 2013-05-09 07:19:35 UTC
This is kind of a problem for extensions that change the appearance of the shell, as the user will briefly (depending on how fast the startup happens) notice the change from the default to the extension's UI.

This is the case for the extension that changes the 'Activities' label with a distro's icon (bug 649621), or for the Classic mode, or for any of the extensions that add and remove items from the panel.

Sorry for the noise, I "found" a bug in the migration script:

Comment 3 GNOME Infrastructure Team 2021-07-05 14:15:00 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
