The irony, the broken one is the one looking the best. :)

I'm testing the new Groups/Folders feature in 3.7.91 and founding it to be really useful and broken at the same time.

I created custom groups from Dconf-editor, which reduced the app-view to 3 lines only, and now the popups don't appear at the correct place. Some don't even have the pointy thing sticking out and are way off. And the 'Sundry' popup becomes smaller than the content, cutting it off.

One more thing, is there a reason behind using pointy menus? I think you could've just made a rectangle in the middle with an animation indicating its origin, the popup-menu thing is not looking pretty good and will NOT work when you reduce the app-view to folders since it wouldn't find the space to appear anyway.

"It's in the mockups" :-)

In other words, talk to the designers. :)

BTW, this is probably more generic than the original one, the breakage isn't just in truncated menus.

Well, the actual breakage is the assumption that the main app view is larger than the height and vertical offset of any popup - that's what we should address, not any particular symptoms that vary depending on the exact position/size of the popup ...
