Description Allan Day 2013-03-13 01:26:24 UTC
The session chooser in the login screen doesn't look very good. Also, the animation when it expands is jerky and causes the other elements to move. I think we probably need to rethink the design of this one.

simple theme patch

This theme patch takes some of the rough edges off the session chooser. It might help until we come up with a better design.

Jimmac came up with different design here:

but it was for the old style login dialog.

This definitely looks better than it did before. But, I agree, we need something way better short-to-medium term. If you commit this you'll have to get a freeze break exception.

That old sunken-menu design really doesn't work well in the system grey world. I have yet to try Allan's solution but if I were to approach it, I'd make sure to keep it flat and just make sure to align to the menu width.

I went ahead and made the freeze break request:

so, this fell through the cracks - can we pick it up for 3.9.2 and 3.8.3 ?

Of course - if we want something better than Allan's patch, we'd need a mockup first though ...
