Description crwinters 2012-11-04 21:06:54 UTC
Banshee will scrobble a track twice to Last.fm if it has nothing set to play after that track. For example, if you play the last song of a currently selected album, Banshee will scrobble the song twice, once for when it was started (like it's supposed to), but also another time for when the song ends. This also occurs with the last song in a playlist, last song in the play queue, etc., as long as nothing is selected to play after that track. This problem may also affect the play counts assigned by Banshee, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the bug report!

Can you please provide some more information on what you mean by 'play the last song of a currently selected album'? I understand the basic concept but I want to make sure I am exactly replicating your issue. I generally have my entire library on shuffle so this use case is a bit outside my normal operating procedure. Any info you can provide would be much appreciated. How do you select a specific album to play?

I have been able to replicate this in some scenarios but I want to be sure I am hitting you specific scenario. Thanks!

Okay - here's how you should replicate it:

1. Turn shuffle off
2. Select an album in the browser by clicking on it once
3. Scroll down to the last track of that album and play it; once it finishes, it should be scrobbled twice

Additionally, I've more recently found that this only works with gapless playback turned on. I think it's a duplicate of this old bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=617620

I'll mark it as such.
