2. strg + n for opening a new mail
3. navigate via tab to the message text area
4. try to write an message

result: orca wont tell me if im in the message area or read my inserted text. orca only say "panel".

Here is a list of open Evolution bugs related to Accessibility:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/showdependencytree.cgi?id=423346&hide_resolved=1

The reported bug could be a combination of the ones reported. Rather than invest time to figure out exactly which bug or bugs is to blame, I am going to close this out as a dupe of 677500 so that I can resume my focus working on Orca.

Yet again I encourage the reporter to start with the Orca list rather than with Bugzilla.
