Description Allan Day 2012-04-13 15:53:50 UTC
The descriptions contain unnecessary noise. Focusing on keywords would also help us to develop more effective metadata for settings panel search.
Comment 1 Bastien Nocera 2012-04-13 16:47:12 UTC
And what do we show in the results if we don't use the descriptions?
Comment 2 Allan Day 2012-04-13 17:35:14 UTC
I think the descriptions are useful in the search results (as in http://bugzilla-attachments.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=192314), so I would keep them for that purpose.

I'll check in with Jon to see what he thinks about it.
Comment 3 Bastien Nocera 2013-01-07 15:35:12 UTC
The new search result appearance was already committed in 3.6.
