Description Tom 2012-04-02 08:25:19 UTC
When you skip to an arbitrary track during the last few seconds of the current track, the title/album/artist etc. for the next track is displayed instead of the track you selected. The track still plays correctly, but the metadata is wrong. This only happens when gapless playback is enabled.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to Edit -> Preferences, and make sure Enable gapless playback is selected.
2. Select any track on any album in your collection and play it.
3. Wait until the last few seconds of the track (or skip to the last few seconds).
4. Double click any other track in your collection, apart from the track following the currently playing one.

The track you selected plays correctly, but the metadata from the track following the previously playing track is displayed, instead of the metadata from the track you selected. E.g. if you play track 4 of an album, then skip to track 6 during the last few seconds of track 4, track 6 will play but the title of track 5 will be displayed. This happens whether or not the track you skip to is in the same album as the previous track.

Tested under release 2.4.0 on Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit. Bug is also present in older versions I have used.

Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
