Yesterday after running update and upgrade, empathy was uninstalled, i think dependency issues, i just installed empathy from terminal today after running update again.  but after a few browsing with empathy, apport pop-up and send me to this bug report.

Looking that trace it looks more like a Cairo or Gdk issue than an Empathy one. Can you reproduce? Are you experiencing similar crash with other apps?

i have the same crash about some days ago but now i am on 3.3.5. i saw the stacktrace i guess it would be help full  and so i said the reporter to upstream it but he may be lost.:)
so i upstream it.
and in my experience i have seen this crash with my own system but don't remember the steps to reproduce it.

this bug is again occured i have seen 2 or 3 dups in downstream
