Making the sidebar smaller than about 1/2 inch causes the app to crash.  To recreate, simply start the program, and then decrease the wide of the sidebar until it crashes.

Indeed, it's a Gtk bug. But we are going to bundle the Windows version with a newer Gtk version. Please use F9 for the moment.
