"panel" crashes

Package: nautilus Severity: normal Version: 1.4.0.4 Synopsis: "panel" crashes Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: Desktop Description: Gnome hung on me, and I couldn't find a way to reboot my machine (I tired ctrl alt backspace to get out of X) other than cutting power. After that there were a number of problems with my root filesystem. I think I fixed most of them with fsck, but now every time I start Gnome "panel" crashes and I get a message saying Nautilus cannot create the file /home/[my user name]/.nautilus Debugging Information: (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... 0x405a7999 in __wait4 () from /lib/libc.so.6
