When I launch Gedit, or opening an existing file, arrow keys does'nt producing a11Y related events with text area
Last modified: 2011-11-13 23:45:28 UTC
Dear Developers, If I launch Gedit 3.2 version, or opening a text file with gedit anytext.txt command, arrow keys operation doesn't producing a11y related events for example with Orca Screen Reader. I am unfortunately not seeing the screen, I using GNOME3 basicaly with screen reader only. If I doing for example a task switch, and switch back the Gedit window, the edit box is focused, and arrow keys pass Orca the right a11Y rleated informations. If I opening an another file if Gedit running, the problem is repeating again. Steps to reproduce, if you would like looking this problem for example with Accerciser: 1. Launch for example gedit any text.txt command. 2. Look what happening if you moving the cursor any direction. 3. Do a task switch an another window, or simple activate the main menu and close the menu. 4. Look again what happening if you moving the cursor with the opened text. Attila
I prewious reported this bug for orca related with bug 659454. I using Ubuntu 11.10 with GNOME3 fallback session, Orca version is the latest master version, but 3.2.1 Orca version are reproducable this issue. Attila
because I reproduced this type issue in gtk3-demo application the multiple view textwiew related gtk demo, I filled this type issue with bug 663378 bugreport. Attila
Given that this issue is not limited to Gedit, I think that we can close this bug out as a dup of bug 663378. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 663378 ***
