Authentication problem in system with two or more sudo accounts
Last modified: 2011-11-03 14:52:02 UTC
Created attachment 196795 [details] situation with two administrators accounts Can not choose user in authentication dialogue to get root privileges. Another (not current) user with administration rights is chosen by default. OS Ubuntu 11.10 beta1
Yes, this (user selection) wasn't addressed in the designs: https://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell/Design/Whiteboards/AuthorizationDialog so it was never implemented. We need a design that covers this.
But why not current user is active?
no idea. ccing david
Same problem here. Found a very useful javascript patch which solves it: http://anti.teamidiot.de/nei/2011/10/gnome_3_authentication_require/
