GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 653837
hostname is not shown when browsing remote servers.
Last modified: 2016-11-24 22:22:01 UTC
Created attachment 191116 [details] the confusing situation. This is related to Bug 534898 which was reported against 2.22 and suggested to be fixed in 2.30. Nautilus used to display the hostname in the title to distinguish folders on different hosts. It was very useful when copying files between two hosts that have identical directory structures. In nautilus 3.0.2 this feature is lost. Attached is a screenshot showing the situation. Two bookmarks are my home folder on two different machines. There is no way to distinguish which is which, except from the highlighted bookmark; but the bookmarks are de-highlighted after going into any subfolder.
3.22 shows the hostname now.
