GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 646839
Mobile Broadband can't be enabled
Last modified: 2011-05-16 13:48:25 UTC
The applet does detect the connection and is labeled as Mobile Broadband. Flipping the switch doesn't work.
There's a bunch of outstanding stuff - probably a duplicate of bug 646395 or bug 646706 or both.
you should be able to enable it by selecting the connection name underneath the Mobile Broadband header
@Dan, clicking on Auto Broadband doesn't do anything and i don't have anything else. I remember that in the past a wizard come up and asked about the provider etc

after creating the connection i can click on it and enable it but it doesn't use the new wireless icon.

That's the mobile broadband icon

I discussed using nm-applet to provide the mobile wizard, but then nothing appeared there and nothing was added here.
See bug 649318 for a patch to fix that FIXME
Related bug was fixed, closing this one as well.
