Description Porcelain Mouse 2011-04-04 23:57:47 UTC
When enlarging documents for printing by selecting a scaling factor larger than 100%, the printed page (and the print preview, also) is not centered.

To recreate this error:

1) open PDF document with evince
2) File > Print
3) Go to the "Page Setup" tab
4) Increase "Scale:" value to 130%, for example
5) Go to the "Page Handling" tab, select "Auto Rotate and Center"
6) Click "Print Preview" button

Observer that the page content is scaled larger, but the content is not centered on the page.

I can confirm the above occurs when attempting to print to a pdf file with evince 2.30.3 using poppler/cairo (0.12.4) on debian squeeze.

Also, the same bug occurs when attempting to shrink to say 50%. In short, the auto rotate and centre option doesn't work at all.

This is still a problem with 3.2.1
Also shrink to fit does not quite shrink enough.

I have a Canon MX870 and I have three different drivers installed for it
I have the driver that came with Ubuntu 10.10, the one at LP-PPA-michael-gruz-canon/oneiric, and the commercial (licensed) TurboPrint driver.

I have been unsuccessfully attempting to print my W2 form for my taxes. This is a two page 8.5x11 document that extends almost to the edge of the page.

When printing, the Ubuntu drive and the PPA shrink might shrink enough to prevent clipping, but since the image does not get centered, it gets clipped on the left edge.

The TurboPrint driver does not shrink at all when shrink to fit is selected, and it clips both the left and right of the document.

If I try to manually shrink the image by setting a scaling factor like 80%, the image is shoved to the upper left corner of the page regardless of the "Auto Rotate and Center" setting, and still clipped on the left edge.
