Description Ján Sokoly 2011-02-10 00:27:09 UTC
Checking the "Run Banshee when installer closes" checkbox on the last page of installer makes no difference - it won't run Banshee anyway.
Also, the checkbox and its label have background gradient which does not fit with the graphics.

Confirm both.

*Confirmed both (not "confirm both")

I'm seeing those 2 issues too.

I think that there's no getting around the opaque background. That is a bug in WiX (that we should probably report, or if we're feeling generous; fix - assuming it's Open Source).

But it not running is most likely something as simple as a typo in the XML or something...

Also, the check box should probably say "Launch Banshee when this installer closes" instead of "Run Banshee when installer closes" - it just sounds a little more Windows-y (plus Banshee should be capitalised).
Comment 5 Bertrand Lorentz 2011-02-26 16:27:30 UTC
I just commited a fix to make the checkbox work.

The ugly background is a problem in WiX, see :
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2025677&group_id=105970&atid=642714

The following page describes a workaround, but I think the result is weird :
http://www.dizzymonkeydesign.com/blog/misc/adding-and-customizing-dlgs-in-wix-3/

I think we can live with the current situation, so I'm closing this. Feel free to re-open if you have an solution for the checkbox background.
