GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 641368
wrong (?) effect when using keyboard to move a window between workspaces
Last modified: 2011-10-13 23:05:04 UTC
When I use the Shift-Ctrl-Alt + arrow key combination to move the active window to the destination workspace, it is correctly moved. However, the animation that displays the window shows it zooming in from the same "origin" as the other windows already on the destination workspace, making it appear as if the window jumped to the destination workspace and was waiting there for me. I'd propose that the active window should stay static, relative to me (the observer). Windows which were on the workspace that I'm leaving should slide out, but the active window should remain still. Likewise, only the windows which are already present on the destination workspace should slide in with the animation. (i.e. from the POV of the user, the active window is still. From the POV of the string of workspaces, the active window is the one sliding from workspace to workspace.)
