GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 639175
Text in new note not always selected
Last modified: 2017-07-31 12:38:51 UTC
When creating new note, its text is selected. This doesn't work in the following cases: 1) When template note exists (even if its contents are identical to that of default new note content). 2) When creating new note in notebook (same issue as with (1), when creating new note in notebook, template note for notebook already exists). Proposed solution (Gnote bugs with patches): 1) Add method to NoteBuffer to select note body, to avoid code duplication (Bug 627072). 2) Select body of new note, when template note exists, but is the same as default content (Bug 627073). 3) Same as (2), but when creating new note in notebook (Bug 627075). 4) When opening template note for the first time (creating it), reuse (1) (Bug 627417). 5) Same as (4), but for notebooks template (Bug 627418).
