GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 638351
String translation issues
Last modified: 2012-11-19 18:57:30 UTC
#: ../js/ui/status/bluetooth.js:377 msgid "Matches" Please add a translator comment explaining the meaning and whether this is a noun or a verb. See http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/DevGuidelines/Use%20comments . #: ../js/ui/appDisplay.js:154 msgid "All" #: ../js/ui/status/power.js:259 ../src/shell-app-system.c:1012 msgid "Unknown" Please add a translator comment as the correct translation in many languages depends on the gender of the noun(s) this refers to. #: ../js/ui/status/bluetooth.js:328 msgid "Authorization request from %s" Please add a translator comment what %s is. "From" is different in many languages depending on whether %s is a person or a device.
(In reply to comment #0) > #: ../js/ui/appDisplay.js:154 > msgid "All" That string already has a translator comment in HEAD - are you using an older build or is the comment not clear enough?
(In reply to comment #1) > > msgid "All" > That string already has a translator comment in HEAD Oops, I'm sorry. The comment is clear enough.
Created attachment 229385 [details] [review] bluetooth: add translation hints A couple of translations were hard to translate.
Only the bluetooth translations were not fixed. The "Unknown" strings gained a context in power.js + src/shell-app.c in the mean time.
