GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 629544
First item of context menu must be "copy", not "clear"
Last modified: 2010-10-04 08:05:32 UTC
Please move "clear" item somewhere else from first position
Is there some GNOME consensus on this question?
How much "agree" is needed? :)
Ideally an HIG reference. If not, a bunch of GNOME applications doing otherwise.
http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/menus-types.html.en#menu-type-popup. "Commands and settings in expected frequency-of-use order" Do we use "clear" more than "copy"? Pidgin IM: No "clear" item at all EiskaltDC++: Only "copy" and "select all" in general chat "Copy" is at the first position in private chat PSI: "Copy" and "select all" Any read-only text in a web browser -- "Copy" is first.
Yeah that makes sense.
