Phantom subfolder in evolution

I have a folder on the second level of the hierarchy but without any subfolders. There have never been any subfolders inside but whenever I tell evo to mark the folder as read, the dialog for subfolders is shown. It makes no difference if I click "In Current Folders and Subfolders" or "In current Folder only", the result is the same.

The problem appears on some folders only, others are fine. I haven't been a pattern, some of affected folders already received mail after upgrading to 2.30.x, others haven, some are toplevel, others are subfolders.

This happens in 2.30.x only, 2.28.x was fine.
