my brokerage allows me to download my schedule D data in "MS Excel" format.

the file turns out to contain HTML.

my browser (Chrome) displays the file as expected.

openoffice calc loads the file nicely.

gnumeric 1.10 doesn't handle it very well.  a table of data appears to be dumped into one cell.
