Please describe the problem:
In this case, an audio codec was improperly selected with no audio in the track. Pitivi hung up: http://drop.io/hdf5xso

Steps to reproduce:
1. make video-only track
2. add audio in options
3. try to render

I was trying to remove the audio track from a ogv generated by record-my-desktop. all worked fine with the default rendering settings, but rendering froze if I changed the video quality setting.

Isn't this a duplicate of bug #584135 or bug #590639 ?

Closing, as this bug report is on an obsolete version, there was no reply, and bug #590639 may be better suited for follow-up.
