Description Etienne 2009-04-21 01:58:11 UTC
Firstly I am a GNOME user for years, and love the GNOME Desktop Environment approach. But I installed KDE 4.2 and after seeking for a tomboy equivalent, could not find anything really equivalent...

I searched over the web and found other people, blogs, ... complaining about the inexistance of any Plasmoid frontend to tomboy.

Tonight I just cloned the git gnote repo and looked over the code, and did not find anything that could resemble to such design: is it a desirable feature ?
To have a KDE 4 frontedn of gnote, which could use easily the .gnote directory to share notes between KDE and GNOME would be probably appreciated by more than one user (and BTW, by myself !).

Will it be a big effort to implement ?

the only thing that will be there is implementing the DBus API like Tomboy has.
