GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 581030
D-Bus API which mirrors (or at least resembles) that of Tomboy's
Last modified: 2009-07-19 03:13:10 UTC
A good D-Bus API like what Tomboy has would be an awesome addition to GNote. I'm writing an app that currently relies on Tomboy. The only thing keeping me from supporting GNote also (or instead) is the lack of a D-Bus API to open notes by name, create notes, delete notes, set note tags, etc, like what Tomboy offers now.

I'd like to add my support for this request! I plan to write a plugin for the conduit synchronization tool that supports Gnote, but the Tomboy version of this plugin relies on the d-bus api. It could be quickly adapted to support Gnote if a dbus interface is implemented.

Me too I'd like to add my support for this request! The Cairo-Dock team has already a Tomboy plug-in (which uses D-Bus) and we also would like to add a support for Gnote ! PS : sorry for the duplicate bug.
