Crash appears to be coming from GTK+, but it could be due to a bad input from Evolution. Could you install debugging symbols for GTK+ and post a new stacktrace so we can get a better look?
Comment 2 kurt_schoenhoff 2009-02-05 22:38:26 UTC
sorry for being a noob..
 but how do i do this
 i cannot find GTK+-dpg???
Comment 3 Matthew Barnes 2009-02-06 00:39:41 UTC
Different distros give it different names.

On Fedora, the package name is gtk2-debuginfo. On Ubuntu and Debian it's libgtk2.0-0-dbg. Other distros probably use some variation of that.

Not a program, you need to install debuginfo rpms from repository as per your distro. More details can be found here:

Looks like. But let's wait for a better stacktrace before closing.

Kurt, run evolution from console with this command:
   $ gdb evolution --ex r
and when it crashes, enter this command into gdb:
   $ thread apply all bt
and paste result here, together with ~three lines above the last command, where, I suppose, is written SIGSEGV. Thanks in advance.
