Description Jelle de Jong 2008-11-04 13:07:09 UTC
Hello everybody,

I got a lot of imap accounts, and use several MUA's (mail user agents) like thunderbird, icedove, mutt, roundcube, squirrelmail and evolution with multiple accounts.

When using evolution I would like to be able to set the location for my special folders. On this moment I can only set my draft and sent and even then the corresponding icons are not set.

I am using debian sid with: pool/main/e/evolution/evolution_2.22.3.1-1_i386.deb

Would somebody be willing to make it possible to set all the special function folders and make sure evolution sets the corresponding directory icons.

I am willing to donate some Dutch stroopwafels or some other kinds of reward, for the developers fixing the issue.

Thanks in advance

Yesterday I did some testing on evolution on debian sid with evolution version 2.22.3.1-1+b1. I got a lot of issues, with my dovecot imap email, darwub ical calender/notes/task and openldap ldap addressbook.

I would really appreciate it if I could demonstrate these issues to a developer or a group of them. I will be at fosdem 2009 on 6-8 feb. Would somebody be willing to take a look at the issues and maybe discuss what it would take to fix them? (meeting in a dev room?) (see also some of my other bug reports at gnome.org and debian.org)

Thanks in advance,

Jelle

Jelle, i would suggest you to list down all the issues or file bugs for important issues (if they aren't there in bugzilla) so that every one can see them, thanks.

Hi all,

I am trying to organize and group bug reports, i have done this for the Mozilla and OpenSync Project.

I would like to see GNOME evolution be involved into some of the bugs reports especially the onces about interoperability. I could spent a day going to the GNOME bug reports to create an addition list for Evolution but would this be necessary? Currently I can't even use my IMAP mail in GNOME evolution because of the bug reported in this thread. If I can't set my special folders its useless.

icedove (Mozilla Thunderbird)
i would like to set a bounty or hire an developer to fix, improve and innovate
 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481201

iceowl (Mozilla Sunbird)
i would like to set a bounty or hire an developer to fix, improve and innovate
 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481047

opensync (OpenSync - A Synchronization Framework)
i would like to set a bounty or hire an developer to fix, improve and innovate
 http://www.opensync.org/ticket/1073

Any ideas?

Is it possible to reopen/rename this bug to be specifically about the icons-for-special-folders issue, so as to differentiate it from the issue of being able to assign special folders?

The special icons for Drafts and Sent is already fixed in 2.27.
