Description Scott Severance 2008-05-21 15:29:25 UTC
Please describe the problem:
This bug is related to bug 533522 and 342921. The terminal cursor blink setting should be independent of the system setting. But comments were made to the effect that the UI freeze prevented fixing this for a while. Here's a suggestion for a compromise (temporary) solution so that something can be done soon.

Given the UI freeze, what about at least making the gconf setting do something?
That wouldn't involve a UI change at all. Right now,
/apps/gnome-terminal/profiles/Default/cursor_blink does nothing, and having a
non-working setting is a little odd.

Of course, this isn't a proper solution, but it would at lease make
gnome-terminal usable again.

Gnome 2.22 is feature frozen as well as UI frozen, so I think there will be no fix for this bug on 2.22.
Comment 2 Scott Severance 2008-05-30 01:36:44 UTC
The fix for bug 533522 also resolves this bug, so I'm marking it as fixed.

Well actually since this bug was for the 2-22 branch and that one's trunk, not really. But ok...
