For some reason, when you invoke System -> Shutdown from the panel, the text "Shut down this system now?" that appears in the popup dialog *resizes* from large to medium size about 1 second after the popup appears, causing the dialog window as a whole to resize.

This is very jarring, as you expect something dramatic to have occurred and spend a few extra seconds trying to figure out what important detail you might have missed.

Not sure what's causing the label to re-draw, but it's very strange.
