Description Gilles Gagniard 2007-07-12 22:11:46 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Software versions : gtkhtml 3.14.3, evolution 2.10.3

The Evolution option "Automatically insert smiley images" is not working. When it is activated and that a mail is being edited in HTML mode, typing a textual smiley for it to be replaced by a graphical one results in a "Image not found" icon ... However, the "Insert -> Emoticon" menu works as expected.

The symptoms are exactly the ones in #419350, which claims that the issue is resolved, but it clearly isn't. After downloading the source tarball for gtkhtml-3.14.3, the patch is there but it doesn't fix the problem. Thus I open a new bug report since the ones in "Resolved / Fixed" state are hardly read anymore ...

Steps to reproduce:
1. In Evolution preferences, activate "Composer Preferences" -> "Automatically insert smiley images"
2. Create a new mail
3. Type ':)'

Actual results:
A "red cross" picture is inserted instead of a smiley.

Expected results:
A smiley appears.

Does this happen every time?
Yes
