What were you doing when the application crashed? 6/1/07 19:02 This is bug 373965 continued. I have been over a lot of bumbs since this started but evidently from the details shown below I finally managed to get the system symbols installed in evolution...anyway the details seem to have a lot of data. Process that created crash: Boot Ubuntu Open Evolution Select Email with 2 jpgs attached to it (not sure if this is important but the total size of the two jpgs is about 6 MEG) Click the Reply button In this event the Evolution compose reply window is open and the text from the message I am replying to is visible...but the menu bar and tool bars and status info at the bottom of the window are all blank. This is different from previous crashes, when the window looked pretty much normal ..well that is except for th Bug Buddy window. I sure hope this works. I would suggest that you modify (if possible) the instructions for installing symbols to say that if one is running Ubuntu (in this case edgy...this may work for others too). At least for Evolution there is a debug symbol package in the Synaptic and that is what I used to get what you see below. The other instructions are complete greek to me, they need some specifics and I wonder if the link to the ftp site is the correct one, edgy's dbgsym-packages don't exist...well I can't exactly say that I would have to spend a couple of days to be sure but I couldn't find it. I see a lot of symbol table info missing lines so maybe this one won't be of any help either. Sorry about that but as I say, finding the right symbol files to install is very difficult given the instructions that I have in hand.
