Description mstempin 2007-05-22 15:50:05 UTC
Hi.
I really love Rhythmbox and it is my favorite music player.
When I used Rhythmbox as a jukebox on my laptop on my birthday party last weekend I had to create a playlist (of course).
Nothing easier than that. I just coppied my hole library into a newly created playlist and then wanted to remove everything I did not want to have in it.
That's when I realized that everytime I wanted to to so I had to click on all the songs I wanted to remove and then make a right-click an choose "remove from playlist".
It would have been a huge timesaver if I could have just clicked on the songs I wanted to remove and the simply press the "delete"-key (or any other simple keyboard short cut).
I found this rather anoying and it took quite a while to create the playlist with all the right-clicking.
I talked to a couple of friends about this on the party to check if it was just me who creates playlists like that. But no, the majority of them does it just the way i did it. Just kicking songs out of the whole library (after having copied it to a new playlist) and leaving what you want to listen to.
So this is my feature request: Being able to remove songs from the playlist (not the library) with a keboard short cut, so no mouse has to be used.
I'd really appreciate you including this feature in one of the next releases of Rhythmbox.
Thanks a lot for this great music player and keep up the good work.
Greetings from Germany,
Michael
