Description John Sullivan 2001-09-10 00:41:08 UTC
This is unfinished work from the BonoboUIHandler switchover.

------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-10-06 09:16:08 ----

Moved all the bugs caused by the new Bonobo UI code into the undecided
milestone, so Bud et al can decide whether to put them in PR2 (where at
least most of them belong).

------- Additional Comments From bud@eazel.com 2000-10-11 14:50:36 ----

Undo will be disabled in PR2

Batch-assigning QA ownership of remaining bugs to eli@eazel.com

------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-11-02 16:33:27 ----

Evilly, since I have gotten over the self-flagellation of assigning all
New-Bonobo-UI bugs to myself, I'm handing this one over to Gene. Note, however,
that Arlo has been arguing that our Undo is so underpowered (not the
architecture, but the actual use of it) that we should turn it off for 1.0. We
probably want to make sure that's resolved before working on this too much. That
is bug 43368, which was strangely marked FIXED.

------- Additional Comments From gzr@eazel.com 2000-11-14 10:46:47 ----

Who is going to direct the resolution of this bug? Arlo?

------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2000-11-14 10:50:47 ----

We decided to remove Undo for 1.0 and we did it already.

We can reconsider that decision if necessary, but this bug report is not about that.

------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-12-01 13:21:09 ----

This bug is now about resurrecting the Undo framework post-1.0.

------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-12-01 13:23:08 ----

In addition to the blocked bugs, there are also FIXMEs with this bug number on
them in a few places.

From bug 70646
--------------------------------------
In gnome1, NautilusIconTextItem used a NautilusEntry, which it hooked
up to all the nautilus undo stuff. Now that nautilus uses
GnomeIconTextItem, this doesn't work.

There is a virtual create_entry function in GnomeIconTextItem that a
subclass could use to create a NautilusEntry instead of a GtkEntry.
However, GnomeIconTextItem doesn't actually use this virtual function
yet, so it needs to be fixed.
