What were you doing when the application crashed? I was browsing all JPG pictures moving from one folder into another, cutting and copying pictures from one location to another using only once instance of nautilus. I also noticed that the more time you spent with nautilus moving files from one location to another somehow hides the following menus COPY/PASTE/PASTE INTO FOLDER shown as being disabled. So no options left but to close the nautilus and start it back again then everything works fine again.
