GNOME 2.12.x is already more than a year old, any chance to test this on a recent linux distribution (for example opensuse 10.2)?

I have an Acer 1642wlmi and have a similar problem.

The applet says if I'm AC or battery, but with the battery it don't tells well the battery lifetime, and it tells that I have a critical battery lifetime (0%) when I'm with a ~80-90% battery lifetime remaining.

Similar problem with Gnome Power Manager.

I assume that this is obsolete nowadays.
