Description Matthew Paul Thomas (mpt) 2006-11-28 10:34:15 UTC
Gnumeric 1.7.0, Ubuntu 6.10

The "Windows" panel of the Preferences contains two controls labelled "Default Vertical Window Size" and "Default Horizontal Window Size".

These preferences are just as unnecessary in Gnumeric as they are in any other document-based application. As with any other document-based application, the default window size should be that of the window the user most recently resized in their history of using the application. (This should be adjusted only when a lower-resolution display, or the cascading of simultaneously-open windows, forces a reduction.)

That is a matter of opinion.
