What were you doing when the application crashed?
All emails open scrolled all the way to the bottom, couldn't find an option to configure this, not sure if its a bug or an option I couldnt find


Distribution: Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy)
Gnome Release: 2.16.1 2006-10-02 (Ubuntu)

Alan, I am pretty sure this is a duplicate of bug 272708 or a similar one.
Can you please verify this? If I am wrong, please feel free to re-open this
report immediately.

Your issue most likely is, that you accidentally enabled View / Caret Mode,
which can be enabled (actually toggled) by hitting F7.

If you disable View / Caret Mode, does this solve your problem?


(Note: Maybe named  View / Cursor Mode  now, not sure exactly.)

Yes, caret mode was the issue
