GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 354068
VPN Connections not available during dialup
Last modified: 2008-01-06 15:12:39 UTC
Please describe the problem: VPN Connections are not available during dialup connections. In my case it's connecting to GPRS/Edge through my cellphone. They are present when connected via Ethernet or Wifi Steps to reproduce: 1. Click on NetworkManager Applet 2. Connect to Dialup connection with Dialup Connections, Dialup Connections 3. Under VPN Connections all are grayed out Actual results: No vpn connections are available Expected results: I would expect the VPN Connectiosn to be available after I connect with a dialup connection initiated by NM Does this happen every time? Yes Other information:
I have the same issue. What is the status of this work? What can I do to help? (short of coding... just not quite proficient in that yet)
Needs better integrated PPP support. Currently the dialup stuff just execs /sbin/ifup.
I see this problem as well.
Reproduced with 0.6.4 (SLED 10 SP 1 RC3)
