Distribution: Ubuntu 6.06 (dapper) Package: nautilus Severity: minor Version: GNOME2.14.2 2.14.x Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu Synopsis: new/renamed hidden folders/files incorrectly displayed Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: File and Folder Operations Bugzilla-Version: 2.14.x Description: Description of Problem: When creating a new folder/file starting with a dot (i.e. creating a hidden folder/file) or renaming an existing one to a name starting with a dot, this folder is still displayed with the old/default name. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. setting: do not display hidden files 2. create new folder/file or rename existing folder/file in nautilus 3. enter a name starting with a dot (.) Actual Results: a folder/file with the old name (for new folders/files: with the default "untitled" name) is displayed Expected Results: the folder/file is no longer displayed as soon as the new name is entered How often does this happen? every time ------- Bug created by bug-buddy at 2006-07-16 12:11 -------
