Description Dean Sas 2006-05-27 00:14:06 UTC
The title shouldn't contain version information and the <abstract
role="description"> element should contain something more meaningful than
"user manual for the gedit text editor"

(see http://live.gnome.org/Yelp/ConsistentDocs)

Removes version number from title and adds relevant description

This patch should fix the bug.
Comment 2 Paolo Borelli 2006-05-27 08:38:46 UTC
gedit docs need lots of love, but you got to start somewhere... please commit.
Comment 3 Joachim Noreiko 2006-05-31 17:04:22 UTC
On behalf of the docs team, I'll second that.

BTW, Paolo, I see only two bugs filed in this component. If the gedit manual needs work, would you care to file bugs, or post to the docs mailing list about what needs doing?
Comment 4 Paolo Borelli 2006-05-31 17:21:12 UTC
ok, I am opening a generic gedit docs bug, we can start adding stuff there or turn it inti a tracker.
Comment 5 Paolo Borelli 2006-06-04 16:52:50 UTC
I committed this myself (not sure if I should have waited the docs people to that...)
Comment 6 Joachim Noreiko 2006-06-11 07:53:16 UTC
Thanks :)

I've only just checked out the gedit docs source from CVS today.
Should the manual title in gedit-C.omf be updated too?
Comment 7 Paolo Borelli 2006-06-11 09:54:59 UTC
No idea :)

If you think that gedit-C.omf should be fixed too, feel free to go ahead and commit
Comment 8 Joachim Noreiko 2006-06-11 13:03:15 UTC
I've checked with the docs experts, and that omf file is obsolete anyway.

This bug can be closed :)
