Description Ranjan Somani 2006-03-01 07:12:09 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Creating a New Folder by right-clicking on parent does not pre-select parent in
the dialog Box in turn it has pre-selects the children of the parent. So, the
user has to again select the parent to allow a subfolder to be created.
For Eg: When we try to Create a New Folder "On This Computer" by right clicking,
the dialog box which appears does not pre-select "On this Computer" instead it
selects some children.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Right Click "On This Computer"
2. Select "New Folder" from the pop up
3. The Create Folder Dialog Box appears

Actual results:

Expected results:
Wherever we right click should come pre-selected in the Create Folder Dialog Box

Does this happen every time?

Andre, yes bug 330163 is a similar bug. It is specifing for search folder only but actually it also happens for other parent folders too.
Comment 3 André Klapper 2006-03-02 10:12:05 UTC
so it's a duplicate, and it could be marked as one? (hint, hint) ;-)
