Description Björn Lindqvist 2005-10-28 17:04:03 UTC
1. Press alt-f7 on a window.
2. Move the window around.
3. Abort the move by pressing escape.

The window returns to its original position, but the mouse remain on the
position where it was right before the escape key was pressed.

Subset of "We need to quit warping the stinking pointer around since it breaks
stuff and is unintuitive for the user in many cases anyway"[1], which I should
have filed a bug about but it looks like this will take care of it for me
(thanks!). :-)

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you can still reproduce this issue in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/metacity/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
