GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 318545
./configure does not provide a method to specify dependencies and their locations.
Last modified: 2006-10-18 05:58:26 UTC
dependencies such as libpng, libmd5, QT, teTex, ghostscript can not be pointed to by configure. The configure script relies on QTDIR and tries to search for most of the other dependencies. When these found locations are not the ones that you wanted to use, there is no way to override configure to state where to find these dependencies. This is available for --install, --dot, --make and --perl, but no equivalents exist for the above dependencies.
I am going to mark this as a dependency of my autotools improvement bug. troll make is expected to be history with the implementation of autotools.
This bug re-opened when it should not have.
