GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 317965
Black on black when it should be white on black
Last modified: 2012-01-04 12:57:26 UTC
I couldn't read the headers in this promotional e-mail from my local computer dealer. It shows as black on black in evolution, and white on black in Mozilla. I don't know whether this is still a problem with 3.8.x. gtkhtml3-3.6.2-1

The mail uses css formatting, i.e. .style5 { font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 9px; color: #FFFFFF; font-weight: bold; } since gtkhtml does not parse css yet, it defaults to displaying in black instead of white, as intended. Thanks for reporting the issue, though. maybe, css would be a good idea to support.
i don't know if this is a dup or a dep of bug 247564, marking as dep. i dislike html mixing old html style formatting (like the background color) with new css style (like the font color), but of course it's the sender's mailer doing this. :-/
uhm, switching dependency.

WONTFIXing as bug 247564 is a WONTFIX too. Plan is to use WebKit for 3.4 or 3.6 and deprecate GtkHtml.
