GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 316430
Add actual effort tracking
Last modified: 2021-06-09 20:34:07 UTC
I would like a new field added to the task screens. This field would allow the entry of the actual effort spent on a task when the effort is completed. This way, it is easy to determine whether the estimated effort is matching closely with the actual effort, the actual effort is significantly greater, or the actual task is significantly less.
Related to bug #140676, which describes a strategy for capturing planned vs actuals.

Look at duplicates (especially bug #140676) to have an idea of the kind of implementation the users may want.
Note that there is bug 318480 is for people wanting this (and more), but externalize the snapshot system using a revision control system, and compare the effort using a diff tool.
Still valid in 0.14.6.
