GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 264449
Task list flickering, selections/changes lost
Last modified: 2013-09-10 14:03:53 UTC
Task list flickers for some reason, about every 30 seconds I think. And when this happens, list forgets about the selection and the latest change happened on the list itself. It would be great if evo could defer the refresh at least until the editing is complete and keep the selection somehow.
Its requerying to hide completed tasks. Not a regression.
Well, well. Say, if I click the status combo of a task and the requerying happens and if I click one of the "Completed, In progress.." items, Evo will simply crash :) Fun, eh?

It's very annoying. Evo not only loses the current selection, it also scrolls to the end of the list hiding the tasks I'm working on. That makes the view pretty useless in its current state.
I have found evolution to hang if you try to delete when it 'flickers'. I have had a lot of troubles sync'ing the task list with my palm and wonder if this may be related.
hmmm. retargetting to 2.3, also see my latest comments at bug 219769 about deleting the *wrong* tasks because of this.

Committed the fix from mubeen to gnome-2-12 and head branches.
I clicked on due date, calendar date selector opened, chose some day but didn't click on OK and waited. After a minute or two I clicked OK and it crashed. I think it should be reopened. Forgot to mention that it was tested with evo 2.4.1.
Tasks list would not reload anymore, crash should be fixed though. Am reopening the bug 269353.
