Description Jens Knutson 2002-04-06 21:03:04 UTC
Description of Problem:

from this CNET article, item #7:

http://home.cnet.com/software/0-8888-8-9161160-1.html

From the article:

"Sometimes you just want to grab a person's phone number without clicking
to your address book and sifting through names. Here's what we'd like: When
you mouse over a sender's name in your in-box, the person's contact
information (whatever you've entered in the address book) pops up for easy
access. Move the mouse away, and the information disappears. It's just that
easy. Of course, this tool should be strictly optional."

This would be very cool to get in Evolution.

Same as https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442813 but for mailer
Comment 2 André Klapper 2021-05-19 11:33:00 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
